Freedom by Form
The white outline of a bird delineates the image of freedom as
an external form — pure, light, boundless.
Inside this shell, a human figure is in a tense, uncomfortable pose,
as if unable to conform to the given silhouette. The work speaks of
the disconnect between the idea of freedom and the bodily
experience of living it.
Here, freedom exists as a form that is difficult to fit into,
and as a state that requires not only space,
but also inner readiness.
