Creating Light

In "The Creation of Light," I reflect on the people who bring back a sense of warmth and the desire to live.

A flash emerges between the fingers of one figure, its beam extending to another, bridging the distance between two canvases. For me, this gesture is about intimacy that can be felt even from afar. About the ability to touch another's life with a word, attention, or simply one's presence.

We don't always know how much light we leave in others. A conversation we long forgot might have been a source of support for someone in a difficult moment. The memory of someone's gaze or touch can warm us for years.

In this work, I leave space for your memory – of someone who became such a light for you. And perhaps, of yourself in someone else's life.
