Janus

In "Janus," I address the state where one part of you is ready to move forward, while the other still looks back. The moment when changes have already begun, but you don't yet know who you will become after them.

Two figures look in opposite directions, their bodies merging into a single monumental form. A thin line passes between them. For me, it embodies the tension between what we remember and what we aspire to.

We can simultaneously desire change and cling to the familiar, feel confident and doubt. I am interested in how these contradictions coexist within a person, how past experience influences every subsequent step.

This work is about the right to change and to maintain a connection with oneself. About the moment when you can already move forward, even if a part of you is still looking back.
