Focus on her
Sometimes you look at someone you've known for a long time and suddenly notice how they lift their chin or tilt their head. A familiar gesture momentarily becomes an entire world.
In "Focus on Her," I linger on such a gaze. A luminous figure passes through cool blue planes, and a red hand on her shoulder adds a sense of bodily warmth. The curve of her body extends beyond the canvas — as if the moment cannot be fully contained, no matter how closely you look.
I wanted to convey an admiration that allows time to truly see a person. To feel her independence, her serenity, her presence nearby. She looks beyond the painting and remains in her own world, even when all our attention is on her.
